uRomiplostim(AMG531,Romiplate) is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist (TPO-RA), a TPO analogue, and a Fc-peptide fusion protein (peptide body).

uThe peptide body molecule consists of two identical single-stranded subunits, each consisting of the Fc domain of human immunoglobulin IgG1, covalently linked at the cterminal to a peptide containing two thrombopoietin receptor binding domains.

uRomiplostim(AMG531,Romiplate) was produced in E. coli by DNA recombination technology. Ropstine has no amino acid sequence homology with endogenous TPO.

The trade name of Ropstine is Romiplate (China), Ropstine (United States, European Union, etc.). It is used in the treatment of chronic ITP patients who have failed to be treated by glucocorticoid drugs immunoglobulin or splenectomy. Initially, it can only be used for ITP patients with bleeding risk caused by hrombocytopenia.
