NS-398 is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with analgesic properties, which can be used in the study of pain relief. It selectively inhibits the activity of COX-2 with an IC50 value of 3.8 μM and has no effect on the activity of COX-1 at a concentration of 100 μM.
