Fondaparinux Sodium (Org 31540, SR-90107A) is a synthetic glucopyranoside with potent antithrombotic properties. It selectively binds to antithrombin III, enhancing its ability to neutralize activated factor X (Factor Xa), thus acting as a synthetic inhibitor of Factor Xa.
